SUPER MOM

Do you ever get this? "So and so's mom has snacks on the counter for them right when they get home from school, and she does this and this and this..."
Oh my heck, I get it all of the time. Maybe it's because most of the moms I live around are truely "SUPER MOMS" and I'm totally NOT. I mean, I feel good about my mothering skills. My kids are sort of clean, well fed (so am I), we get their homework done, but I do not have snacks waiting for them after school. Anyway, Aspen told me that it would be so cool if I did this and I agreed. So monday they come home from school and I forgot!!!! Yeah, I'm a loser. But today I had a buffet of snacks set out for them and boy did they love it!!! I did not realize the importance of a simple after school snack.(VERY.) So watch out Super Moms, I'm stepping up my game.

San Francisco

This weekend was the third annual girls trip to San Francisco. Every year we (me, my mom, my sister, and sister-in-law) go visit my husbands Aunt Cathy and cousins Mandy and Kristen. They are the best!!!! We have so much fun. It's non-stop talking and laughing for three days straight. What more could a girl want.
This year we did a little shopping on friday and on saturday we went across the bridge to Sausalito. I had never been their before. It's BEAUTIFUL to say the least. I think that I would love living in San Francisco, Brian says I say that about every city that I've been to. I just love big cities. My favorite thing to do when I am in a city is walk around the neighborhoods. I could care less about all the touristy stuff, I want to see where the locals live, eat, and hang out. It's even better walking around at night because they might just have their lights on and then I can check out how their houses are decorated. I know that I sound scary, I'm not ,I swear, I just love to see how other people live. Anywho, it was a totally fun couple of days and a much needed break. I missed my girls and Brian and was so excited to see them today when I got home. That's what makes going away so nice, right?
Sorry my pictures are all messed up. I still don't know what the heck I am doing!!!!

Happy Birthday to Vicky too!!!!

April 24th is my dad and mother-in-laws birthday. Thursday night we had a surprise party for her at Mauri's. It was fun being with Brian's side of the family. Vicky has been so helpful with the move. She came over three days in a row to help put the house together. I couldn't have done it with out her. Thanks Vicky, for all that you do. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today we celebrated my Dads Birthday. It was such a fun day. The whole family came, we heated the pool, it was officially our first pool party. The weather was beautiful today. Awesome day for an awesome guy.
My dad is the best. I love him so much, we're alot alike. My dad and I "get" each other. I have so much love and admiration for him. He has always made sure I understood how proud he was of me and how much he loved me, I never had to wonder. I am grateful for him. I hope he understands how much I love him and how proud I am to call him dad.

The grandkids adore him.
The girls and one of their many "shows".
Jerzi and Tatum, TROUBLE!!!!

mean girls?

Tonight I went outside to watch Aspens jump rope routine. ( For those of you who don't know her, she's always putting on some kind of a show.) And the next thing I know, my neighbor comes over to tell me that Aspen and Jess ( another neighbor girl) are being "mean" to Mikelle, her daughter. I don't know what to do. All three of these girls live within one house of each other, are all in the same class at school, and are inseparable. What should I do? I don't tolerate meaness. I know that they're all guilty at times, including Aspen. I just feel bad that it is this way. I told Aspen that if I here that she's the one being mean, and I hear of it, she'll be grounded . I just hope that it's not always going to be like this, I mean, I have three girls. It really puts the moms in a bad position. Of course, we each thought our daughter was the least responsible. We also knew our own daughters could be capable of being the mean one. Nobody wants to see their child be left out or hurt someone elses feelings. But what do you do? Are all girls this way? I'm terrified of this problem.

I'm back!!!!!

I'm alive and kicking. It's been a long couple of weeks. We just moved and things are settling down. I'm so happy to be back blogging!!! I've totally missed it! The weather has been beautiful, spring has lasted longer than normal and I am so happy about that. Summer is going to be very mellow around here, I'm not putting the girls in anything, we are going to chill and do nothing !!! "Nothing" never sounded so great.
