Do you ever get this? "So and so's mom has snacks on the counter for them right when they get home from school, and she does this and this and this..."Oh my heck, I get it all of the time. Maybe it's because most of the moms I live around are truely "SUPER MOMS" and I'm totally NOT. I mean, I feel good about my mothering skills. My kids are sort of clean, well fed (so am I), we get their homework done, but I do not have snacks waiting for them after school. Anyway, Aspen told me that it would be so cool if I did this and I agreed. So monday they come home from school and I forgot!!!! Yeah, I'm a loser. But today I had a buffet of snacks set out for them and boy did they love it!!! I did not realize the importance of a simple after school snack.(VERY.) So watch out Super Moms, I'm stepping up my game.

I think that every mom gets those comments. My favorite is, "so and so's mom cooks really good dinners for their family almost every night." Yikes...I suck in the cooking dept.

I only ask if they need one. I guess I need to step it up too. i do however remind them how much i do for them that other moms don't. It keeps them quite for a while.lol. great job super mom!!!
You are to hard on your self! You are super Mom! Some kids come hometo an empty house and even have to cook dinner for themselves I always try and think of the bad moms not super moms then I feel better about myself J/K I love ya, and miss you too!
ok you are raising the bar for me as I am trying to lower the bar and be able to go bed happy at my accomplishments. Looks like I'll be setting up the snacks from now on. I must not be out done! (really, thanks for posting this- it was a heads up!)
You are a great mom & never give yourself enough credit! But, yes you did step it up a notch, & isn't it funny how simple the things are that they LOVE!!!

April you are a super mom! Look, those snacks are healthy. I just let my kids devour a bag of chocolate chips just so they would be happy! I may not be super, but I'm crazy, fun! I don't even believe that. I guess I'm naughty.
By the way, can I say that Mia is Ashley reborn. At first glance it took me back to my childhood and there was Ashley sitting at the counter.
