little cuties

Look at these little cuties. This is what you do when you're bored. You dress your little ones up and do a photo shoot. Sounds fun huh? NOT! I think it's the first time my kids hair has been done in over a month! Anyway, it was really hard to get them to be "natural". I would tell them to smile, and they would come up with a cheesy, stiff, grin. It was driving me CRAZY. A group shot .......impossible. So I gotta hand it to all of you photographers out there. It's not easy. You guys are amazing. I'll be booking an appointment soon.

Lake Powell

We just got back from Powell. We had a really good time. The weather was perfect not too hot and no wind . The trip was short and sweet, just long enough to miss the girls. It's good to be home. It's funny how I missed them, but I don't think they even cared that I was gone. I think all moms and dads should be able to get away for three days once a month. Wouldn't that be great? Too bad this three days is going to have to last me all summer....and then some.

The good life.

Have I mentioned how much I love summer? I love it! Probably a little too much.
So anyway, I have strict instructions from my hubby that there is to be NO SPENDING MONEY so that means I can't go anywhere. I mean anywhere because every time I hop in the car somehow I spend 50.00 on nothing! (you know the kids need something to eat, the car needs to be washed, something is on sale...)
POOF! The money is gone, and I'm in big trouble.
So I'm trying to be a good girl...(trying)
My choices are, stay home and stay home. (I don't do well with temptation.)
I've been really good lately, we swim everyday and eat yummy food, like rice crispie treats, grilled cheese sandwhiches, chips,and popsicles.
We are having way too much fun around here. So much fun that none of my clothes fit anymore.....I'm totally serious....they don't fit!
Maybe the good life isn't so GOOD?
SO I'm asking all of you skinny minnies, how do you resist opening up the fridge every time you walk by, finishing off your kids hot dog, eating the yummy treat you just made (for the kids) ? How do you do it? I need to figure this out fast cause pretty soon my sweats won't fit either.
The good life? I'm not so sure.

lazy days

We can't get going today. There is plenty to do. The laundry room stinks of dirty clothes, the car looks like you will be infected with a terrible disease if you sit in it, I have a project I started the other day that needs to be finished, and all I feel like doing is sitting on the computer and zoning out!!!!
Maybe I need another cup of coffee?

SUMMER DAYS

Ok,, today is officially my first day of summer. I've been out of town the first part of the week. So what should I do? I need some ideas. What is everyone else doing with their kids on the average summer day?

Today is Brians birthday. He is thirty three years old. Thirty three years ago he was born at the same hospital I was born seven days earlier. We were born in the same hospital, same year, same week, we were meant to be together. I have been in love with Brian since I was fifteen years old and this is why....
He is Beautiful.... inside and out.
He is crazy, out of control fun to be with.
He is funnier than he_ _!
He is not critical of me, ( but he is a Nazi about getting the kids home work done).
In a world obsessed with appearance, he is not.
He is a hard worker and very motivated.
He is an exceptional dad, one of the BEST I've ever seen.
He is a goof ball, could care less about being cool.
He was a good boyfriend that turned out to be a wonderful husband, and I"M the lucky one.
He is patient with me and the girls.
He is generous.
He is his daughters number one fan.
He is our rock, our core, he makes our home complete every time he walks through the door.
