Sometimes watching the news really freaks me out. They make is sound so bad, is it really?

I think communities should be more pedestrian friendly. I don't know what to think about the economy but my husband says that this stuff is normal, people get freaked out all the time, and the economy does recover. He told me it happened in the 80's. I do think that fuel is a serious problem. I hope we start digging for oil in the U.S. and not be dependant on the middle east. That seems like a no brainer!
I think the news is always so one sided and if there isn't really anything to report, they tell a story over and over. I've decided I would love to talk to a REAL economist and find out all the skinny. According to my hubby and the reports he's been reading. We always have ups and downs. Economists think it will level out again. Not heading into another depression any time soon. And that's a huge reason why we can't have a socialized government. It will run us into the ground. You need (two words I can't remember) to drive the economy. It's how it works.
I am totally freaking out. First Scott is a general contractor, and there is NO work.All the illegals who do not have to pay taxes,workmans comp. etc. are making the money. meanwhile my husband is only bringing home half a paycheck after paying all his company fees.
he has been riding his bike to work- 5 miles to savve gas in his truck.
I am so irritated with it all. America is not the America i remember. Sorry if this affends anyone but it is becomig mexice here in provo. My bank became a spanish branch. We are in America speak english. Well i got my frustrations out.
